About Adrian
Adrian Arduini was born in Hayward, California in 1967, to an Italian immigrant father and a mother from Texas. In 1986 he joined the US Army and served in the Airborne Rangers, 1st Battalion, then re-enlisted to serve in Germany, and was honorably discharged in 1992. He spent twelve years in the restaurant industry and the next twenty-one in tech after earning his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry University in 2003. In 2025 he relocated from California to Longmont, Colorado to pursue his art.
Adrian grew up learning to draw by copying images from Savage Sword of Conan and his mother's Cosmopolitan magazines. From those references he learned to draw human anatomy and gained a lasting passion for the work of Frank Frazetta, John Buscema, and Boris Vallejo.
He has a passion for bronze-age fantasy and Dungeons and Dragons. He started designing adventures for conventions ten years ago with short adventures for the D&D Adventurers League. In 2021 he designed a campaign setting and short adventure path called Mother of Monsters for Legendary Games — most of its art was commissioned, but he contributed his own as well. In 2025 he published another short adventure path and mini campaign setting under his own label, Infestation of Borwen Valley, with 90% of the art created by him.
Now semi-retired, Adrian is reinventing himself and embarking on a career making art. He favors dark fantasy, and works in acrylic, india ink, graphite, and digital. He lives in Longmont with his wife and his son, a Marine veteran.
